    Description

Naturally Formed Heart Shaped Beach Hag Stone, coquinoid sandstone
Surf-tumbled by the tides and time.
Wild caught by me along the shores of the Treasure Coast.
    This stone is approximately 1 1/16" X 1 1/4" X 1/4” thick.
The hole is over 1/8” diameter as shown by it easily accommodating the Am Std 6 gage wire.
It is gray. Nicely proportioned and shaped.
    It has fully rounded edges.
There is a line (perhaps a crack) that is shown on the backside of the stone, but not so evident
    on the front.
I see it as a sign of how fragile/strong we are. Depends on how you look at it... cup
    half full/empty kind of thing.
I also see it as ...show strength outwardly, yet vulnerability within.
Perhaps the strength of the hole in this heart speaks to you or about someone you know.
    See the photos.
It has been perfected by Mother Ocean.
The stone in the photos is the one you will receive.
    Photographed dry.
Pendant?, mixed media? or simply display? So many ideas.....
Shipped free from our OceanLightStudio within 24 hours of cleared payment.
    New to hag stones?
Hag stones have occupied myth and magic folklore for centuries.
    But what are Hag Stones?
Hag stones are stones that have a
naturally occurring hole inside them. These stones are often
found along the coastal points, beaches, and streams. These
    holes occur from the elements
    beating down upon them over
many years.  There are also speculations that these mysterious
stones may have been formed by a “worm hole”. A Hag stone is
also known as a Witch Stone
or Adder Stone or Holey Stone and
has quite a bit of lore and many magical properties associated
with them.  Part of the folklore is that if you look through the holes
    you can see fairies.
Here's what some folks have recently said about our special beach stones:
