The Who celebrate the life and legacy of long-time collaborator John Davis
with this premium art print featuring an iconic painting of “THE WHO IN CLASSIC POSE” along with Sally Simpson from the song on the Tommy Album trying to get to the stage and then rising above it! SPECTACULAR UNIQUE PIECE! The design is lithographically printed on the finest Italian paper stock,
    hand-numbered in pencil
and limited to 100 units globally.
Sally Simpson is a girl who goes to see Tommy at a spiritual gathering of his followers at Tommy’s holiday camp. When Tommy appears on stage – seen here with the members of The Who – poor Sally is crushed in the crowd and tries to get on stage to touch Tommy but is thrown back into the crowd resulting in a gash to her face. This incident was inspired by a real life occurrence when Pete Townshend saw a girl climb on stage at a Doors concert to try and touch Jim Morrison and in doing so was injured by a security guard.
Shipped “barely rolled” without rubber bands or anything to hold it together so as not to “fold” the poster, in hard cardboard tube via USPS Priority Mail.
